Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Production Manager to lead manufacturing
floor operations. This role blends hands-on leadership with developing and enforcing quality
standards, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with production
teams to streamline processes, reduce waste, improve product quality, and ensure on-time
delivery. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and inspires the
team to take pride in high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and implement clear SOPs and work instructions across all
  • assembly and production processes.
  • Lead floor-level quality assurance activities, including in-process inspections, root cause
  • analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics (DPPM, yield, scrap rate, cycle time,
  • OEE) and drive measurable improvements.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to streamline workflows,
  • improve throughput, and reduce waste.
  • Oversee deviation investigations, non-conformances, and change control processes to
  • maintain product integrity.
  • Implement and manage structured problem-solving systems such as 8D, CAPA, and
  • preventive action programs.
  • Lead Gemba walks and provides hands-on coaching to supervisors and operators to
  • ensure standards are followed consistently.
  • Support new product introductions (NPIs) with process validation, risk assessments, and
  • pilot builds.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, and internal quality standards; maintain audit
  • readiness at all times.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen floor capability and accountability.
  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment, including adherence to SOPs and safety
  • protocols.
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and technicians to build a high-performing production
  • team.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Production Management within a
  • manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field (or
  • equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Proven success building and implementing SOPs, work instructions, and structured
  • quality systems on the production floor
  • Strong command of core quality tools and methodologies including APQP, FMEA, 8D,
  • CAPA, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis
  • Demonstrated experience driving Lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, Kanban,
  • SMED, VSM, OEE) with measurable operational improvements
  • Track record of improving key manufacturing metrics such as yield, scrap rate, cycle
  • time, DPPM, and on-time delivery
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, process routing, and technical
  • specifications with confidence
  • Hands-on leadership style with proven experience mentoring supervisors, technicians,
  • and production teams
  • Experience preparing for and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or
  • similar quality standards
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, MES, SPC software, and Microsoft Office tools.
