About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Process Engineering Intern to join our Operations team in Los Angeles. You’ll gain real-world experience in manufacturing, process development, and continuous improvement. This is a floor-based role. You will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor working directly alongside production team members, learning how work is performed, documenting processes, and developing practical SOPs and training materials. This is a 3-month internship with potential for full-time employment based on performance and company needs.
What You'll Do
● Work directly on the manufacturing floor alongside production team members
● Observe and document how tasks and processes are actually performed
● Work with employees to develop and improve SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and training materials
● Develop visual process documentation and training materials to make processes easier to follow
● Create process maps and document best practices
● Standardize processes across production, assembly, inventory, and shipping
● Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
● Assist with Lean and continuous improvement projects
● Help develop and implement improved work methods
● Train and support team members on newly developed processes and SOPs
● Test processes on the floor and make adjustments based on real-world results
● Track improvements and measure results
● Help improve productivity, quality, safety, and consistency
● Collaborate with Operations, Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Quality, and other teams
What We're Looking For Must-Have Skills
● Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
● Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets ● Strong attention to detail
● Interest in manufacturing and process improvement
● Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment and alongside production team members
Nice-to-Have Skills
● Lean Manufacturing experience or coursework
● Process mapping or SOP development experience
● Manufacturing or production experience
● Exposure to time studies, root cause analysis, or workflow analysis
● Experience creating training or process documentation What You'll Gain

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily and lift up to 50 lbs consistently without assistance.
- Ability to stand for long shifts, bend, twist, and repetitively lift heavy office furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.
