The Role

As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and building long-term relationships within the office furniture industry. You will work closely with leadership, marketing, and operations to identify growth opportunities and execute revenue-generating strategies across commercial and B2B channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business development leadership: Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities across commercial, corporate, and contract furniture markets
  • Industry relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, designers, architects, procurement teams, and corporate clients
  • Sales strategy execution: Develop and implement outreach strategies including cold calling, networking, and partnership development
  • Pipeline management: Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline, track opportunities, and drive deals to close
  • Market expansion: Identify new verticals, regions, and customer segments for growth
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to align offerings with client needs
  • Competitive analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor positioning, and market demands
  • Revenue performance: Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability

  • Strong network within the office furniture, commercial interiors, or contract furniture industry
  • Proven closer with a track record of generating and converting leads into revenue

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the office furniture industry 
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and commercial furniture markets
  • Experience working with manufacturers, dealers, or contract furniture companies
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
